Yes, it did, it is now petering out. I posted it as noid. I still think it looks closer to Roger Paetz. I bought it in 1999 from Kakteen Haage in Erfurt, it seems even the great nurseries make errors at times. Walter Haage was one of the early famous Epi hybridizers. http://cubits.org/orchids/thre...
This morning I went to take a photo of my new Echinopsis, but the bloom wasn't open yet. I found it sitting on top of a shelf in the direct sun this evening, already suffering from sunburn,
I asked my husband if he had set it there but he said no. I don't remember setting it over there but maybe I did. But it's more fun to blame him
Here's an earlier bloom starting to open... and the plant looks nice and green.... waaaahhh.
I'm sure it will survive, it just looks ugly (and worse today). Downloaded some more photos from the camera, so here is it's second flower...
I don't think I've ever had Echinopsis in all my years of cactus growing. I should get more!
This photo was taken at Shoal Creek Succulents, they have a lot of nice plants but unfortunately this one wasn't for sale. She also had some odd orchid that put up a bloom stalk about 4 ft tall! I'll have to email her and ask her the name, I didn't get a photo of it.
beautiful blooms!
And, I had given up on Shoal creek succulents, I thought they had gone years ago out of business. I am happily surprised to see their great website, they still have tons of good stuff. This looks like trouble.....
