Photography Tip: Showing Scale

When small items such as seeds are being photographed, it's fairly common to place a common item near them to give a sense of their size.

I haven't owned a ruler since my schooldays, but I've used ping pong balls, cigarette lighters, and marbles to show scale. Big Grin

I used a pencil in some of my photos.
When giving the ruler in the image, it is also important to mention whether it is centimetre or inch ruler in view.
