Thread OP

Hi! These are popping up in our flowerbeds and around 2 oak trees on our property, so I didn't think they were weeds but for the life of me I can not figure out what they are. Does anyone know/recognize this plant? I'm not sure if I should be digging them up or if they were something that the previous owners of our home had planted on purpose. (We've only been in our house since October.) Thanks in advance!

They look like a 4 O'Clock, especially the bulb. But I'm just a Guesser. Oh and WELCOME! There is a Plant ID Forum where you can post this.

I think they're four o'clocks (Mirabilis) too. You might want to wait to see what the blooms look like, before you chuck them! They do reseed and have a long tuber that helps them come back each spring. You just may like them!

Welcome to the Texas forum. Thumbs up
