I wish the grackles would move on from here. Even if I don't refill the feeder for a month or so, they seem to find their way back. We did not even have them the first few years in this house because it's a little more wooded.

Just saw this. I planted quite a few coral berry in my shade dry bed. I love the berries, they are nice color spots in winter. It sends out long "arms" to start new plants, but I have found it easy to control.

Well...this will be it's first year to bloom...and maybe the last! If you remember that large bed out front, the coral berry has filled in the entire back length of that bed.

Rolling on the floor laughing You must be nice to the cats....In Austin they catch the feral cats, spay them, and then release them right back where they were....

Oh! I just thought of this...I can send you a coyote to keep the feral cats in check. We have cats in our neighborhood, but they're kept indoors by their responsible owners. The ones who are let out to roam...don't come home. Coyotes love 'em....

We could use a coyote or two... Our neighbors let their cats roam, and there are several feral cats around, too. We've stopped putting up bird feeders because the cats think it's a buffet. The neighbors' big fluffy mama cat jumped up on our cement birdbath after some birds, and knocked the top off onto the flagstones and cracked the birdbath so it doesn't hold water anymore. grrrr...

That's such a shame that your bird bath was damaged. I'd be pretty upset. You can pick up a coyote when you come to get the glass mulch!

Coyotes will also eat any pet cats you have or any smaller pet dogs.
