My American beautyberry is growing in the front where white-tailed deer browse daily. Its leaves have never been eaten by the deer, even during extreme drought when the deer are desperate for green bites.
I was a bit shocked to read that deer love the leaves. I have dozens of them and the deer have never touched them. Maybe they just prefer hosta, rose buds, clematis (new green growth), and tomatoes.
