I know that there is no such thing as too many photos of a plant, but....sometimes it's a bit disheartening when you think you've scored a good find just to find 100 photos already entered.

I KNOW Dave can pull all kinds of reports :)

My idea is every once in a while pull a report of 20 or so plants in the database that have NO photos. I bet he could even pull reports by area.

It could be like a scavenger hunt!! A challenge for the members to go out and find photos of plants that have none.

What do you think?

I like the idea.

It also might be fun to offer a reward, like say double acorns for the first photo posted to a plant's entry.

Cool idea; won't you it, but I just entered about 50 or so that were heretofore w/o a photo (entries to DB were from a botanical garden in Houston)
Nothing that's been done can ever be changed.

I think if you are finding a photo on another site, it may be copy writed and we would need permission to use the photo. @Dave, am I correct ?

What a great idea Lee Anne.

Maybe he could do the same kind of report for plants that have no information added for the entry in the database?

@threegardeners, Lee Anne ...

Sorry, I took it to mean that we should look for photos. I think it's a great idea.

Lynn ... yes, adding info to the db would be fantastic. I have to Google almost every plant I see a photo of that I like because there is no info in the ATP database.

Lyn

Great idea, both for the photos and the info - I love that this is such a collaborative database.

Well, I did some looking, and it turns out that about 90% of the entries in the database have no images, believe it or not. So this kind of report wouldn't be terribly useful.

I am going to program the system to give double the acorns for the first image posted to an entry.
