bulb, sat there w/ minor foliage for 2 years. There were 2 buds, alas, now but one.

I've grown it from a bulb too. It came back for two or three years then I think it got crowded out by other plants and disappeared.

Lilium pumilum is not long lived. It's normal for it to bloom for a few years or so and then poop out.
