I use the same potting mix for starting seed and for growing them to about 8 months. At that point I move them up to larger pots and to one of two mixes.

Your article is so clear and understandable. It makes sowing DR seeds seem so uncomplicated. It did remind me of a step I failed to take in sowing my seeds, and which could be a factor in failed attempts on my part. I didn't make any holes for the seeds. I just sowed them on the soil surface and covered with a thin layer of vermiculite. Apparently, I'm not planting them deep enough and the seeds didn't have good contact with the medium. I'm also going to add perlite to my mix. Thanks for such a great article!
