I can "see" all you are describing. I can no longer garden in the yard but manage to do so on our deck. It's amazing what we can do in a container and I'm thrilled that I'll be able to learn how here. Becky, I was in a much smaller sand storm in NM and I agree with how it hurts when it hits!!! Glad you are okay.

Thanks Barb!

I miss playing in big piles of dirt so much...and using the hose to water my hot feet! But we do what we have to do and this is my season of Balcony Gardening!

Go over on Gardenweb.com and check out PVick's photo albums of her balcony gardens in NYC. She gives a new meaning to balcony gardening. You wouldn't believe what all she has grown up there. She's a delightful person and always willing to share her experiences or answer any questions.

Hats off to you for continuing your education, and working too. What's your major that you are study or hope to become? You're a great artist and very creative.

Thanks Pippi I'll try to find those photos!

I'm studying Social Work. I was thinking about Art Therapy but I would need a masters and I'm getting older so don't have the luxury of time. I'll always use my art in various ways though.

Thanks much!
