Which ones will produce longest into the winter without any extra help?

I once had a pot of greens last past the first few snows but now I can't remember what they were. I need to feed my house rabbit in the winter too, and growing is less expensive than buying.

The hardiest greens I know are the B.napus kales like Siberian and Red Russian. B.oleracea kales like Vates, Blue curled Scoth etc are reasonably hardy but not the extent of the Siberian types. The collard is probably the next most hardy.

Maybe this lasts on into the winter. I haven't tried that yet, but the claim is "hardy to 10 F"

'Tyfon' seems to be the cultivar name, and "Holland Greens" seems to be the common name, so far as any new crop has a common name. Maybe it should be "also sold as Holland Greens".

Have you fed your rabbit collards before?
If not, best test with a very small amount.Different animals respond differently. On the up side collards have vitamin C that it a good thing.
Collards are similar to cabbage and could give your rabbit gas , rabbits do not process gas well and it can be very dangerous.

Although I appreciate all the suggestions people have made so far, I actually may not use any of them.
They'd be good eatin for me, but less so for bunny.
Too much CALCIUM is a concern for house rabbits because they get the chance to live long enough for that to affect their kidneys,
Plus the gas thing.

I think the green that lasted the winter for me was escarole. And that might have been the winter that was warmish.

I've tried parsley and cilantro on the windowsill with mixed luck. NEVER lucky enough to get a big healthy plant. I often cut my evergreen culinary sage and put the cuttings in water on the windowsill. But that big wonderful sage plant died back to its roots this past winter so....

Store bought red leaf is the fallback position, with stems from the herbs I buy for my own cooking.

Can rabbits eat sprouts? I forgot the name of the contraption you can buy to grow sprouts all year round on your kitchen counter or a table, but they are inexpensive and even the seeds for sprouting can be purchased in bulk from numerous sources. (Sprouter, perhaps?) I used to grow sprouts for a couple years because every time I bought them at the store, they would go bad within a day. I stopped sprouting after my husband passed away. Just lost the motivation for that and juicing. Continued to garden, but then I got sick.

I'd love to have a pet bunny. I had one when I was a teenager. I named him Mr. Paw. He was so cute and fun. I taught him to walk on a leash and had a part-time job at a daycare center. The kids loved it whenever I brought Mr. Paw to work. I couldn't keep him after discovering that I am very allergic to bunnies. I was so sad and miserable that I had to give him up. But just before he went to his new home, I was so sick and covered with hives that I thought of rabbit stew to put me out of my misery. That made me even more sad as Mr. Paw was my first pet.

I don't know why I can't remember a single thing I fed Mr. Paw. Granted, it was several decades ago.

I haven't been successful with sprouts here either.
I tried broccoli and alfalfa.
I love to munch on sprouts.

How about a chia pet or two...one for you and one for bunny

Little late to the party here, but have you ever grown Mizuna? It's a mild Japanese type of mustard green. I think it tastes like sesame, a bit.

Anyway, the last few years we lived in Utah I'd plant it late into the summer, and it would last a very long time, sometimes even under the snow out in the garden!

There's also Corn Salad, can't for the life of me remember what the botanical name for it is, but it survived frost here a couple of years ago and came up smiling.

I'm sure you plant lettuce late in the summer/fall for late greens in the cool weather, right? I wonder if you could bring pots of those into the house?

The cats would chew lettuce I bring inside... I love them though!

I will hunt down that corn salad and mizuna and see what happens!

Mizuna has been added to my want list. It sounds familiar, I may have had seeds at some point.

You can grow greens inside in an old acquarium to keep critters out of them. If you find one through free exchange places that don't have a lid included, you can just use a screen with something heavy on top to keep the screen in place. I had several acquariums I used for gardening, mostly early starts, after I got rid of my fish. I had one that was four foot long and I miss my aquariums. Easiest way to grow seeds, I thought.
