This plant sprouted up in a container where I stuck some Hibiscus cuttings to root. It seems to have a main stem with side stems branching from it and very teeny, tiny whitish flowers which remind me of Erigeron. I've looked at many photo's and can't seem to find a match.

I have definitely seen this weed here in SC... could it be Eclipta prostrata a.k.a. false daisy?

It does look like Eclipta prostrata, False Daisy.

It is a valuable medicinal, used similarly to Echinacea. The Chinese introduced it to Hawai'i for it's medicinal properties.

Thanks you two! Thumbs up Thumbs up

Eclipta prostrata certainly looks like an exact match! There are a couple of photo's in the ATP database False Daisy (Eclipta prostrata) and I will add mine.

Dave: I drink a lot of tea so I might just have to give that a try! Interesting medicinal qualities too, so thank you for those links!
