Someone gave me a piece of this several years ago and its now at least 6 feet tall and about as wide. Apparently this is pretty much the flower and it never gets more exciting but I would like to know what it is?

It sure looks a lot like woodsonii indeed Tee, yet after researching both from your leads; realize it is scaber.
