I did a trade earlier this spring for some Colocasia tubers The little guy below came up in the same pot.
There was a little soil with the tubers, which I just added right into the fresh potting mix I made up for it.
I realize it's small but thought someone might recognize it, and let me know if I'm cultivating a garden plant or a weed. Rolling on the floor laughing

That's what I thought too. Harmless in a pot, though definitely would need a bigger pot if you'd like to watch the show! Quite a striking plant.

LOL - I know, I think these can pop up in any state in the US. I like to watch them for a while, before dispatching them. A very cool native to observe, those large leaves. And then I have a nice batch of very green stuff for compost/mulch. My sprouts never show up in such a handy spot though, already potted.

I did see a fantastic older specimen camping a few weeks ago, in a nature preserve on Cape San Blas in your beautiful state. Just starting to make buds.
