Birds are singing, Bees are buzzing, daffodils, Japanese Magnolias, red buds and Narcissus are blooming. Oh and yes the air conditioners are buzzing too. We are headed to the Lake for some R and R. So what if it is twenty minutes down the road. We have a cabin and three days to pretend we are in Florida. lol Sandy is not up for a long trip yet. If it is still snowing in your area just know there is a Spring on the way. Please don't hate me. Shirleyt

OK, I'm jealous. We had a week a real warmth, temps in the 60s and 70s. Now the cold is back for a week, with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s. Blah!

But I am why Down South In Dixie, and you are way up there. When I am scorching your weather will be perfect. When you have beautiful leaves we will be brown when you have snow we will be brown. lol This is truly the best time of year here and I enjoy it immensely. I am gonna go get my coleus soon and then I will be set. Amaryllis are starting to bloom and the roses have lots of buds and will be next along with oleander and magnolias . I love my simple country corner. The living is easy way down yonder close to New Orleans. I will post more as the season wears on just to let you know Spring Is just around the corner for you too. I wanted to give a special hello to Pheadra. Did you get your green house up and running again. I cried for your loss. I know how much you loved it. Sugarweed, we are going to Dunedin soon but that is still hours from you. sadness. I thought sure it was much closer and we could take your tour. We would need to add a day especially for a run over. We are thinking about it. It will depend on how well Sandy does on the drive down. I do not understand the problem with the pics for you, they should come full page with a click. My coleus have outgrown my lighted shelves, both in size and number. Some are getting by just on window light which isn't so hot in my house. I need to move some outside so I hope the weather cooperates soon.

Oh, and Shirley, you can have my snow any day! I hate winter. Our winters are pretty cold and sometimes pretty snowy. And our summers are probably much hotter and more humid than you think.

Ms Shirley, Believe it or not we had the top put on this past weekend and the first plant went in sunday, We are starting over from scratch , as very little survived But on a high note its Spring time and we will soon spend saturdays nursery hopping..

Well, I've just come in from a long day of transplanting seedlings and I'm trying to get them all finished before cuttings come in and before other things outgrow their pots. LOL

I am sorta settled at the tippy top of Lake Okeechobee, Fl.
Many are telling me I will be too hot here this Summer.
We'll see.
I got 17 rooted coleus from Rosy Dawn and am expecting 19 from Gebharts this next week.
I have a deck now and am planting rail planters to adorn it. My cousin is visiting from Borger, Texas.
When I take her to Ft Lauderdale to fly back to Tx I am picking up Marsue 4 hours later for a week long visit.
I got 6 30" planters and all but my herb one will be mixed plantings.
DC and I are going out on the lake early in the morning.
Okeechobee is a small town with few bright lights. The stars all look like bright jewels in the night sky.

Here are my beauties that I got today. The nursery did not have a large choice. I was not too happy about that. I will try to get some from school Tuesday. There was not a trailer in site and I really wanted trailing Linda.
