I think I've come across some plant photos that are in the wrong location, and I can't figure out who to report it to!

These are the photos in question, listed with the Creeping Jenny photos. They look just like purslane to me. They are great photos, and I am sure I talked to someone about this before, but can't remember who it was, since it was so long ago. Hopefully someone will know what these are. I'm no expert on either plant, but it doesn't look at all like Creeping Jenny to me.

Seems this was not resolved a while back when an ID was requested. The thread "Sent as Creeping Jenny" in Plant ID forum

Thanks greene. I never saw that thread, but I do remember discussing the photos with someone. They do need to be moved to the correct spot, now that everyone is sure that it isn't Creeping Jenny. Hopefully someone will chime in that can help! They are really great photos, so I'd hate to see them be removed.

Hi Natalie. Sorry I forgot to follow up on this. I will remove the photos from the database. I never did get an ID on it. It is not correct, the leaves and bloom is different from Creeping Jennie.
It was suggested that it was a type of purslane, but that is not correct either. Again the leaves, blooms and taste are not correct. Sad

Can you re-post the photos on the ID forum? and maybe add an invitation for the folks on the Cactus and tender succulents Forum to chime in?

It sure is a pretty plant.

Lynn, please move them, if possible! They are really great pictures! I do believe that it is a type of purslane. I'm almost positive. Looks exactly like one to me. Just figuring out the correct one may be a problem. At the very least, please save the pictures to post later. I love the detail that you captured! Isn't there a "generic" purslane database? Kind of where all other pictures go when you don't know the exact plant name?

No need to apologize, either. You should see some of the plants I've posted in the wrong spot that weren't even remotely close!

Oops, I'll have to see if I can find them in my photo database. I already deleted them from the database here on ATP. Sad

I second that one! Good eye, Lori!

I would have never guessed that it was anything other than a purslane! Maybe that is why it didn't taste like one! Hilarious!

I can move these. Did you mean to identify this merely as the species, Lori? Your link is to a cultivar of S. makinoi named Ogon. Shall I move the photos to our Ogon entry?

I do have S. makinoi 'Limelight'. That is what it is. And the bloom is correct for a sedum. Hurray!
Than you all for the help. I think the container of Limelight was next to the container that had the Creeping Jenny in it. Seems that the sedum won out. Big Grin

Zuzu, would you mind moving them?

really don't need a DG link here when we have perfectly good images on ATP.

Always so nice to see such diligence! I do have to say that even though I was given an unceremonial boot from DG, I have no particular angst toward the site. The folks there are still all gardeners...
