I sure do love the color of Cheyenne Spirit.

I hope mine will look that good, I had to cut off the flowers because of mites. I cut off the sombrero sandy yellow and some others too. I did not cut off one of the eastern, but instead I sprayed a mixture of about 1/2 teaspoon of Neem Oil and three drops of Dawn Dish Liquid (not hand soap) in a quart bottle of water. This actually seems to have gotten rid of the mites in the Eastern Coneflowers. I sprayed it real good, right on the flowers! I will report back later to see if they come back or not. I read that it is non toxic too.

You're welcome and thank you for the compliment.

My only 2 echies are white and each has a single bud on it.
The buds are still looking like they'd make a green flower when they open.
But I know they will turn white - - - - eventually. Hilarious!

Peonies Plant and/or Seed Trader I helped beta test the first seed swap Celebrating Gardening: 2015 Garden Ideas: Level 1
Slowly building my ech collection, starting many from seeds through winter sowing, bought three varities as plants (cheyenne spirit, flamethrower, scented angel) but after one of them didn't survive winter (flamethrower) I'm sticking with seeds. I want to cover my garden with Ceheyenne Spirit and I have a packet of seeds to winter sow. Since i bought the seeds after cold weather passed I wish Id resorted to refrigeration to give the plants a start. They are SO slow growing in the two years, then in the third they usually go crazy. The oldest plants I have are three years old, Magnus and Scented Angel, and they are putting on the best show forming large clumps with plenty of flowers.
@snapshot, loving your photos, I need to post a few later but I'm using iPad, will do later today.

Cheyenne Spirit seeds don't need cold stratification. They can be started any time. I've started them inside, under lights, in winter, with bottom heat and had good germination with no pre-chill.

I don't remember seeing where anyone mentioned Harris Seeds as a source for Cheyenne Spirit seeds but they are reputable and reasonably priced. $6.95 + shipping for 15 seeds.
