Spring Flowers 2010

By NEILMUIR1

After the harsh long winter we all had, the arrival of spring is eagerly awaited. Once the snow was gone the north winds and the frost did not allow much plant growth at all.

Thank you Sheryl, that is most kind. I was pleased with some of the pictures, and as we get the News about the USA here I have seen on the TV and been told on here that a lot of people had a rough winter as well. So to cheer everyone up, I thought "Spring Flowers," as they cheer me up a lot. So I am hoping it works for other people as well?
The Thumbnails do not show them off, it is only when you enlarge the photos can you see them properly. Anyway I tried.
I do put recipes on regularly, but some food nobody reads or looks at! Oh well as my father says "more for me!"
I put a British Classic of Sausage, Mash and Onion gravy on, and someone asked me if they could use Hot Dogs with it!
Keep well and don't leave it so long!
Regards.
Neil.

LOL - no surprises there (on the hotdog) - please just consider yourself an educator of those who don't yet know the wonders of foodie-hood.

Seeing as many of us are from America, I wonder if you might like to put together an article of the gardens (and restaurants!) for those who come to visit the UK. Especially of those places that are not on the beaten (to death) tourist tracks.

Of course, my suggestion is purely selfish - I expect to be back in the UK in May, although this time I'll probably be based out of Cork, Ireland for a week or so. But my husband's business takes him to Manchester and Kettering, occasionally London and sometimes I get to tag along. Big Grin I admit to being spoiled. But as an example, we were able to stumble upon a pub in London that specialised in sausage and it was glorious. The rest of the food that trip was fine, but neither of us have had anything like it since.

Dear Sheryl, don't worry over the summer i am going to do Articles on British pubs, tea houses and their gardens, plus of course their food. We don't really have the weather at the moment as it is blowing a gale here and raining hard! Some days are lovely others are not! But it is a Holiday for Easter and it would not be Britain if it did not rain on a Holiday! Even on the August Bank Holiday it rains!
You should make him a Manchester tart. it is on the recipe forum.
I am currently doing an article, but unfortunately I am not too well, and have to have a serious operation.
Regards.
Neil.

But Neil, I've been trying to keep him away from the Manchester tarts!!!

I am so sorry to hear that you are ill. I hope your operation is quick, painless and your recovery a breeze. Let the surgeons know a lot of people are counting on his or her expertise on healing our friend.

Best wishes-
Sheryl

Dear Cherie, thank you most kindly! They look good when you enlarge them, what do you think?
I will be adding another one when the gale stops and I can get out!
Regards.
