and I'm so sorry about the wretched moles. We had a dog that caught moles. She was the best mole catcher. I hope the cayenne soaked chewing gum and/or bay works.

Thanks Vic. Sunshine likes to dig where she sees the burrows but she hasn't caught one yet.

I have the same problem. They seem worse this year possibly because of all the rain. I keep the lawn roller ready to go, and try to smooth out the tunnels each week. But they are still (and always have been) a big nuisance every year. I know they fit into the natural scheme of things, but I wish they would stay out in the corn field or in the wooded areas. I need a break: Haven't tried the gum/cayenne remedy yet. I'll try anything that helps get rid of them!

BTW Nice looking daylilies Sharon: Especially fond of the 2nd two.

I thought about stuffing garlic down the holes, but hated to use my last bit of garlic on moles. I don't know that any of it will work anyway.

Thanks about the dayliies; I can't with any accuracy tell you the names; some are old unnamed seedlings from summers with my uncle in Bardstown a few years ago and those that do have names seem not to match in one way or the other. Their only claim to fame is that I think they are lovely.
