people guessed cantaloupe , watemelon and cucumber and now I have no idea
but it is taking over the flower bed and has fruit

Should I leave it ..and let it have life or pull it up?

I still think it's a cantaloupe.

I agree with Dave. It looks very much like a cantaloupe, and this link should cinch the ID.

Dave I think you might be right we once bought an unusual cantaloupe
not normally grown, some of the new varieties of melons and it was
not an actual cantaloupe orange inside but a melon of sorts..
with yellow flesh and oblong..
I had fun talking to you all on here about it and thanks for the answers..

Hi Moon howl
well what a treat to see the you tube video you sent me
I am just laughing with amusement that is what I have
a cantaloupe..that video was great!
thank you so much!
I am keeping it and hope the melons make and
that I pull them at the right time ....and not too over ripe
later this summer..We have 98 degrees here today with
high humidity and all this week..I am sure they are enjoying
the morning sun but late afternoon shade in the Sheris healing
flower bed as they grow!
Thanks to you all who wrote to advise me.

Hi Sheri

You are very welcome. When you harvest the melons, please post a picture. There are so many new varieties/hybrids these days. It will be interesting to see if this one comes back true from seed.
