Interesting Plant, YES but what is it. I looked at the database and there is a Sea Holly (Eryngium maritimum)

Thanks for posting the database picture, Marilyn - I had wondered if Sea Thrift were somehow related to Sea Holly, but now I can see they are really different from each other! Thumbs up But, such a beautiful flower ... I will also have to check it out to see if it might grow here.
