I was excited to hear from gardeners here that I have a rare dogwood - cornus florida urbiniana. I bought it about 25 years
or so ago,not sure from where, but I used to order plants from Wayside Gardens, although it's not in their catalog. It's done very well here in northern CA, with no special care. This year the bloom was stupendous! Apparently it's become very hard to find, so I'm giving some thought to propagating it.
