By NEILMUIR1

Despite a few articles in the press before the show wondering what Chelsea will be like in the financial crisis, plus their normal doom & gloom; the horticulturalists and everybody else involved in the world's most famous flower show gave them all a quick lesson in how it can and should be done!

Would be wonderful to be there in person to see this spectacular event. Loved seeing all the pictures of the various plants and garden items for sale. I have a new goal. To make it to England to see The Chelsea Flower Show, hopefully before I retire, but if after wards that is OK too! Smiling Again, thanks so much for sharing this. Just stunning!

LOL! There ya go! I'm sold now Smiling You know, I have a friend here in Chandler, Arizona, from England. Her name is Lesley. Lesley taught me so much about what plants can survive in our garden, and still make it in our extreme desert heat. Plants that make your garden look like an English garden, even though they are not the same plants used in England. I am indebted to her for her talent. The Brits do indeed put out some smashing gardens. Even in our hot desert climate.

Thanks again!

Alan

LEST WE FORGET!
Today is is the 66th Anniversary of D-Day the biggest maritime invasion in History!
This was done to give us the peace we have, to replace the tyranny of the Nazis, a freedom for the world.
From the U.S.A. Rangers Heroic battle on Omaha beach; to the British Soldiers, Red Devils (2 Para.), American 1st Airborne and British Commandos giving revenge to one nation that wished to destroy the world!
To the Gurkha's unrelenting fighting prowess, the British knocking the Japanese out of Burma alongside the Americans.
There are many named Heroes; but surely each one was a hero, whether they were from sea, land or air, or whatever country in the world they came from, they fought for and died for freedom.
The real Heroes are the ones who did not come back, and now lay in un marked graves. They are the Heroes, for they gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country!
So we could live in peace.
May they Rest in Peace.
Let us hope we do not have to see this again, and this is the known ones!

WHEN YOU GO HOME TODAY, TELL THEM OF US AND SAY,
FOR YOUR TOMORROWS, WE GAVE OUR TODAY!
Kohima Epitaph.
It is about time the youngsters realised it as well!
Regards.
Neil.

THEY SHALL GROW NOT OLD, AS WE THAT ARE LEFT GROW OLD,
AGE SHALL NOT WEARY THEM, NOR THE YEARS CONDEMN.
AT THE GOING DOWN OF THE SUN,
AND IN THE MORNING.
WE WILL REMEMBER THEM.
