Cover your fruit trees with netting to keep the birds from stealing all of your fruit.

I'm glad I read the comments here -- I actually bought a package of the netting this spring, to use over a couple of cherry trees and possibly on my grape vines... but after reading the comments, I think I will throw some "floating row cover" over the cherries and use some spring clothespins to hold it on, and maybe just bag the grape clusters.
