its growing amongst the rocks (large gravel) along the east fork of the Illinois river valley near Cave Junction ,Oregon.
its what appears to be a single stalk plant, that comes up each year. I dont know if it regrows from the previous years plant, or requires reseeding. dont know if its a common weed here or an exotic that has escaped
