In Winchester Part I, I wrote about the city center. Now we go past the city walls and into the water meadows and other interesting places along the way! I hope you enjoy it as much as Part I.

Dear Cherie, I did not know if anyone would like it with the river etc. in it! You can see why I love walking through that area though, or I hope you understand why?
Just outside Winchester there is a village called Stockbridge, it is on the River Test, which is the finest chalk stream in the world. My mother & father would come down to see me and go there as it not far from where I lived. They had a little shop that sold brown trout fresh from the river and smoked brown trout. My father adores both types of it, so when I do go down I get him some and he guards it jealously! You also get Sea trout and salmon, which we all love as well. I also took my father to a watercress farm and the trout were swimming through it, he loved it!
Wonderful place, and magical.
Regards and hugs right back.
Neil.
p.s. Notice I did put a pub in it for you & Nancy!

Dear Cherie, a tip when you come to England! Always aim for a church and you will find a pub next to it!
Regards.
Neil.
