Thread OP

Hi-

For those of you living in zone 5-6, do you ever fertilizer your lilies in the fall? I was going to put down some mulch at the end of August/September, but was wondering if I should throw some fertilizer down before I do it?

Thanks, JC

p.s. can't believe I am even thinking about fall, but when we've had temps in the low 50s at night, its crazy!

I am borderline zone 5b/6a and I do not do any fall fertilizing. I think people in the south do that more than we do in the north.

Some organic fertilizers like Fertrell take a few months to become active and then they last around a year.
I'm adding that to my fall plantings.
