Dear Lucy, no the cat did not know I was coming! He did however try to purr me to death and was very friendly, so he must be used to people. He is not a feral cat as he is is immaculate and in good shape. I hope you like the seats everywhere, they would come in most handy to give Doris a homemade pork pie on whilst she looks over that beauty.
A wonderful place and now protected by law, so they cannot ever build on it, just Garden on it to the same standard. This pleases me immensely, for who could destroy that for concrete houses?
Well those who desire money would do just that! Not anymore they can't.
Lucy it is a secret hidden jewel, that is open to the public free of charge, and now it can remain so!
What more could anyone ask, and thank you all for taking the time to have a look at this little treasure of a place.
Kindest Regards.
Neil.
p.s. I am making Doris some pork pies!

Thank you very much Neil!

Beautiful and gorgeous gardens but I believe your gardens are always made so much more beautiful when complemented by the stone work, pergolas, etc.

I think the cat is resident king or queen of The Rookery Smiling

Dear Vicki, I am glad you enjoyed the second bit of the Garden. It is a bit special and a wonderful treat to see. Maybe I can show everyone when it is at its best!
Thank you for your comments, I will see what else I can find.

Neil, Part 2 was lovely I loved the cat a real marmalade eh? The water running between the pathways reminds me of when we went to visit Knightshayes in Gloucestershire some years ago. I'm glad not too many people know about this place, that keeps it quiet. Eileen
I do hope you enjoy these as much as I have making them.

Dear Mum, it is a very special place. To see it in its spring glory is a must, especially as you like Iris reticulata, and in the summer the white Garden is full of different scents everywhere.
I think the trees are amazing as I love trees as you know, and the whole place has a special ambiance about it, it is like going to Beamish Museum and stepping back in time.
As there is not that much grass there, and the Garden is tiered the work has to be done by hand. Even down to Hedge laying, which I was taught at Sparsholt!
Nice to know it is protected, I could never see such a beautiful place like that destroyed. I wonder what my nieces would think of it? Connie seems to like it and they have never heard of it either, and they don't live that far away from it!
Love.
Neil.

Dear Linda, thank you once again for your most kind comments,
I did not put much text into the second part, as I believe this awesome place can speak for itself in pictures alone!
I do hope you had a good Labor day?

Dear Linda, we do not have Labor day over here! I went out and got soaked by freezing cold rain, which was most unpleasant to say the least. Looked like a drowned rat, when I got home, even my boots were full of water!
Glad you had a good day though, sun what is that?
Regards.
Neil.
