Neil that is breath-taking. I love all the beautiful pictures you have taken. I am getting a bit of a breather from running somewhere today and am able to actually take time to sit here and read. These pictures are awesome.

Tuesday the 14th Ed goes back to work and I'll be able to get on here more. I understand that he's on vacation and doesn't want to sit in front of the t.v. whilst I sit on here so I have to be nice. We compromised today, he goes to Menards without me holding his hand and I will get off the computer when he pulls back in the drive.

Hey we didn't even have a honeymoon. What are you talking about.? Didn't get one with the first marriage either.

The vacation is just he doesn't have to be up by 4 am. Can sleep till 5 if he wants and he's not punching a clock. He doesn't have to be anywhere by anytime.,......that is the vacation we're talking about here,. Next week he's back to being up at 4 at work by 5 and punching clocks again.

Hey Cherie, what type work does he do?... just wondered, because We get up at 6:00 am (John is an electrician at a refinery), 5 days a week--- yes, I get up with him... I have to take kids to school soon after that anyway... well, This year it's only One kid, my nephew, since everyone else has finished school now. But I Like to sleep later on Sat. morning (talking 'bout 8:00 am, seldom 9:00!); but John likes to take me to breakfast (early) sometimes that day, so then I feel bad if I just wanna sleep a Little longer, take my time... because Sunday is rushed for us too, because we have Church--- so I know what you mean... and 'No, Thanks, I don't wanna go with you to get the oil changed in the truck...' Whistling 'What's that you say?--- the plant nursery? Well, sure I'll have time in a little while!' Lovey dubby Rolling on the floor laughing

Oh yeah nursery but he never WANTS to go there. My husband is a coil winder for the great big huge transformers. Let me tell you they are big too. Went to an open house there one time and the transformers he winds coils for wouldn't fit in my whole house. One gets lefted by crane on to a semi trailer for transportation or on a railway car. One per semi or one per rail car. They are huge. They get orders from the state of Florida, Georgia, Alabama. Arkansas, Oklahoma the whole nine yards. He's been there since he got home from Vietnam in 1971.

So... what is Menards?? Grocery store or what? And if We go to the grocery store together, our ticket is always So much higher than if I go alone (men tend to add things to the basket!!, esp. snacks, ha)... plus, I guess it's something he doesn't go to that often, but I get Sick of going there... at least twice a week; teenagers eat alot! I think you still have a couple kids home too, right?? We didn't get to go on a vacation the last few years either... seems forreeevvverrr... (and visiting relatives doesn't count!) I want to go somewhere fun and/or pretty! =)
--- Wow Cherie, those coils sound Huge! Sometimes John tells me about things at work, but usually I don't really know what he's talking about... unless I can at least see a picture! I have been to both refineries, but only get to go to 'safe' near the exit, buildings. Refineries are not the safest places to work--- there was an explosion last year at the plant where John is at, & one guy almost died--- he had about 70 % of his body burnt, and lost one arm. Well, I gotta sign off in a minute; I think there are some towels that are sopping wet in the washer--- oops! Whistling

Menards, is a home improvement store on the same order of Lowes and Home Depot.

Grocery shopping here is the opposite of yours. If I go by myself and didn't eat before I left I buy way more than I should. Not that it doesn't get eaten. No food goes to waste in this house. Last Vacation I got personally me is in 2003, Ed took me to Las Vegas for a week cause he found out that I had only been there one time and that was in 1973 and too young to gamble. The strip when I was there the first time isn't anymore. The new one is HUGE.

Haven't been to Vegas... John went there for a Union Convention--- you know... Have your important meeting; eat; gamble; spend money; meeting; eat; gamble; oh, I guess they had to sleep sometime! (what a place to choose for a convention!) I could've gone, but then I'd be leaving 3 teenage boys Unsupervised--- yeah, right!! Glare I'm not a gambler, but if I was there, I'd Have to try a Slot Machine, just because it looks like so much Fun!--- esp. if I got to hear all those coins spilling out, Ha! Hilarious! Hurray! Yeah, she's a Winner! Rolling on the floor laughing

Cherie, good thing you mentioned Lowe's, since I need to go there to get a.c.filters. Grocery stores... I try to eat something Before I go; then all those snack-thingies don't look so tempting!---worst time to go is on the weekends when they have All those people handing out Samples of Goodies! Sticking tongue out That, and the Long Lines to check-out! Glare
