Spring In England, After the Worst Winter Ever Recorded!

By NEILMUIR1
March 8, 2011

After untold snow and ice, winter finally left and we had nearly two weeks of mild weather. Then the cold winds started and rain with it for what seems an age now. Unable to go out and do anything. I vowed that the first dry day we have, I would go out and get some pictures. That day was today and it was surprising to say the least. Snowdrops, still out with Magnolia, are just about to go into full flower. What a strange spring!

Dear Jon. I am so glad it may have cheered you up and brought you some sunshine!
I took a lot of pictures the other day with my new lens, and have put then on my cubit, try the welcome forum.
These went down well, as a lot of people still have snow!
I was thinking of you the other day as I had to go to Crystal Palace! The shop there had sold me a UV filter for the lens and it was 52mm, the new lens takes 67mm. So they gladly changed it and I went for a pint.
Whilst in the pub over the park, they had pies on the menu so I am afraid I had to have one! Steak & Kidney of course, it was lovely to say the least!
I hope you are all well.
Kindest Regards my friend.
Neil.

Hey have a pint for me man, love to join you in that so I would! We had snow on Wednesday and it's still rather cold unheard of here! What is going on in the northern hemisphere? God bless you mate.

Dear Jon, I actually did have a pint for you! I did not take my camera up to Crystal Palace, so I had a couple and the second one was for you!
Then on the way home I thought if only I had taken my camera, but it was too late by then. So I stopped off at my local and had a pint of Wadworths 6X which is really stunning at the moment.
Crystal clear and tasty. The Irish landlady had made some pork pies so I took some home for us as well.
Do you think I would forget you, I do not think so my friend!
Kindest Regards.
Neil.
