A first for this bushy tree. One of two blooms with promises of more inflo and flowers to come! Hurray!

The flowers scent is wonderful. Stronger than I expected. My bush is leggy. I need to seriously think about cutting it in half. Sooner? Or later? Confused

"cut in early spring". CHECK. Got it. Should I cut it in half? I really want a bush. I will try to root the cuttings, of course. They tend to root for me quite easily. Mark asked for pictures. Someone us bound to suggest bigger pots/more soil, I bet?:

That pot is fine for now. If it was my plant I would cut both stalks off at about 18" and plant the tops; the bottom will flush out again.

Updated pic. What I like most about these pudica, is that the bloom lasts a long time, these flowers are BIG and they smell nice. The plant is short so I can smell them and see them! The newest blooms are pinker than the older ones who turn more white as the days go by.

I'm curious, have you ever observed rust on this plant?

No rust so far. The biggest problem I have with my 3 pudica are brittle branches that often snap off in a big wind and lo legginess. But they root easily, the pink not as easy as the White Wedding Bouquet. The pink was grafted, and not a very pretty graft, though it adds character to it. I plan to trim all the pudica this spring, Adler your instructions, of course, to make it bushier.
