I was given Total Recall this year and, because of your earlier photographs, have put Pagan Dance on my get-this-one list. Really nice flowers, thank you for posting. Smiling

I've got 3 going off right now... Alcazar, Grape Echo (Every 6 weeks, like clockwork), and Foxy Ferret.. I've got buds popping up on Autumn Circus...
I just picked up Foxy Ferret at Bayview a couple of days ago.. It was sitting in the box in full bloom.. It's my first MTB.. The flowers look a little rough from being transported and planted, but I think it's pretty cute..

LOL Sherry, this may be your first MTB but I'll bet it will not be your last. MTB's were grown in every cottage garden and the class was commonly called 'table iris' because the long small stems and wide branching were perfect for cutting and putting in a vase. The blooms are smaller but so perfectly formed and still used widely today by florist. I do not cut and bring my blooms indoors but it is very nostalgic to have them in bloom in the garden. They also like to grow in big pots.

Foxy Ferret is really nice! Thumbs up I would love to have an iris rebloom every six weeks but the weather isn't very friendly to blooms here in the summer..... what a treat for you!

Funny MTBs should be liked by arrangers--as hybrdizers work for more buds per stem, the first thing an 'arranger' does is cut off buds as 'they spoil the line',

I had a friend that had a flower shop franchise in Little Rock. I would go in and just mess around with the plants and blooms. Sometimes I would go in and work all day making arrangements before Valentines or Mother's Day if she was short handed. For a florist those are MAD weeks. We sort of let the 'table iris' decide what the arrangement would look like. If it had to look like a standard one advertised it would not have irises in it.
