Ok, I've seen seed pods and thought nothing of them, but this summer an ODD looking iris showed up between a clump of Heaven's Edge and what I had been thinking was Sable. (but it has no PBF, so now I'm thinking it might be Ebony Queen) However, this strange new iris might be a cross between the two. I thought I'd put it out for everyone to see. After seeing this event, I've gathered all the seed pods and I'm going to try and grow them up. Might end up being a lot of junk but this new guy is kinda pretty! Parents are first then the possible cross, then a group shot.

I like the seedling better than either parent!

I love Heaven's Edge! Unusual color combination. Now added THAT one to my get-this list. Hilarious!

Hopefully, Kent, Paul, or Tom will chime in, here, with their opinions.

Really interesting round standards. Almost like 6 falls instead. Love the blue beard color with the plicata.
