I have a area at the top of my property that as you come down the driveway it is just a dry shady area. It does get a couple hours of sun. I have a bench there and I sit there sometime after mowing the lawn.

That said. I gathered up my birds, bird nests, and my rustic little wood things. I have to walk around the property and find a long so I can add a log to the scene.



Right at the tree is where I am going to set up Sempville.

Oh boy, I'm sure going to watch the progress of this little town. Great idea, Cinta! Gathering up all of those miscellaneous garden ornaments will give them new purpose. You can plant semps just about anywhere ...

Can't think of anyone more deserving to enjoy the fruits of Sempville than the person who mowed the lawn and put the little town together! I know you are going to enjoy planning, planting and ph-ussy with all the elements of your soon-to-be magical town, Cinta!

I tried to get a friend who makes wooden items to make me a sempervivumvile sign for my garden, but she said what she currently stocks wouldn't do well outdoors, but I'd never thought of actually making a proper town, it looks fab! I can't wait to see everything planted up

Connie are you going to publish the Sempictionary?

It would be fun to have it all in one place. You could do an article about it and maybe attract some curious other gardeners to the forums

Connie I think "symposium" better describes the event as all aspects of growing and breeding sempervivum are open to discussion.
It also adds a sense of authority to the gathering.
