The Chelsea Flower Show 2011 (Part 3)

By NEILMUIR1
June 14, 2011

Although the first show, The Great Spring Show, goes back to 1862 it was not until 1913 that the show was moved to the Grounds of the Royal Hospital at Chelsea. It immediately took the name of Chelsea, and has been the Chelsea Flower Show ever since. It has always been an international show and with modern transportation anything is now possible at this amazing event. Join me on yet another march around Chelsea.

Dear Jon, thank you for your kind words! I have just found out I have got at ticket for The Hampton Court Palace Flower Show, which is the biggest in the world!
That is going to take some walking around, if I do not get run over by a tractor! But that will not be the first time that has happened.
Looking forward to that if it does not rain!
Hope the family and your goodself are OK?
Regards.
Neil.

Actually Neil we've all been down with a flu like virus! My fingers are crossed there's no rain or tractors to mow you down!
Take care my friend.

Dear Jon, I am most sorry to hear that you have all had the dreaded flu! That is not nice at all. My grandma used to make us have a big bowl of oxtail soup when we got the flu, and a pint of Theakstons 'Old Peculiar', that worked! Then when we were getting a bit better loads of steak and kidney pies! Always worked for us!
You get well my friend.
Regards.
Neil.
