Dear Cherie, i disagree with that! Firstly you just needed a bit of motivation, and with lots of people telling you you could, you turned that into you did!
When I first went on DG I got quite a lot of not so nice people who made my life not so nice, and I wanted to give up. The only person who replied and was kind and motivated me, was Sharon!
I too was awe struck by her writing and read everything she wrote. I was used to writing more scientific things or things with a bit of my humor in, but Sharon encouraged me to write and not to take notice of the people who prefer to run me down. I soon learnt what forums not to go on, on DG and to steer away from certain people. But she motivated me all the time and I wrote more and enjoyed it.
I may say this as Sharon and I became friends, and we have had many lively and humorous discussions on many things over the time on DG, and indeed still do. I help where I can Sharon out, and Sharon helps me out immensely!
We all have our own writing style, Sharon hers, you have your own and I have mine. I did not when looking at your Article want to change or alter that. It would have shown up like a sore thumb if I had attempted to write your Article and I did not want to. So all I did was to fix some typo errors which we all make, put a link in to your name and sort the pictures out. We all have had trouble with pictures as sometimes they and the text seem to have a mind of their own!
It is your Article done by you, not me or anybody else! All you needed is the motivation to do it and you have.
Now we await the second installment to your Article, and then we want to see a short story about something on Sharon's stories cubit!
Regards.
Neil.

Now Neil lets not get too carried away. A short story?

Yes, Neil it is my article. BUT, It never would have been written if it had been left up to me. I never would have thought to. You are the one who put the bug in my mind, the encouraged and supported me the whole way..............you DO get credit for that. My article my experience. that is MINE

Thanks for the support and encouragement then.

Yes, wonderful article Cherie. How do you get your husband to help? That could be the name of your next article. LOL

Sharran, that wisteria is to die for. Never got mine to grow right when living up north and now one would not grow down here in HOT S. Florida.

Wish that my garden would start it's 'spring', but it is still recovering from our Winter. Normally spring starts about the end of February, but this year that time was the middle of Winter. The only things that are really growing now are the weeds. Healthy little buggers too.

So, what I was also leading up to is that there is nothing to take a picture of in the garden now for everything is half dead. (The dead stuff has been pulled out to the tune of 3 monthly general pick-ups of garbage.) Probably the neighbors think that I have collected dead plants from other neighborhoods and put it all in front of my house. Now that I have a picture of!

Off to the rest of the forms.

Dear Nancy, that picture of your front garden would probably win the photo contest, as nobody has put anything on it. I cannot see the pictures, just the numbers of photos which = 0.

Dear all, a very sad message from Nancy, I am upset as I tried to help this brave little fellow out. So sad!
Neil,
I am having a hard time holding back a torrent of tears this am for my daughter's little dog, who you helped with diet, for he is being put down this morning. He just turned 11 a couple of weeks ago. His Cushing's disease took hold and she had the heart not to put the little guy through torturous tests with the same result, death. She wanted him to enjoy his lasts months. (I agree, for my children know that I don't want that done to me.)

My daughter and her husband have no children and this was their baby. It is going to be a terrible loss for those two lovely people.

Anyway, thank for your recipes and expertise that you so generously gave my daughter. She was a good Mommy and I am proud of her. But my heart aches beyond belief this am.

Nancy.

Dear Nancy, our sincere and heartfelt condolences to you and your daughter. Sarah and I are truly very sad about this tragic loss.
I was inconsolable when my Jack Russell went, but my father told me she had a good life and you must remember her how she was, not where in a happy place she is now!
In a typical military way he told me that she had not died, just posted to a higher service, for Queen & Country.
11 is a fair age you know, plus he has had a great and loving owner, and a good life, that is how he should be remembered.
Could you please inform your daughter of our thoughts and wishes, and tell her Sarah and I will plant a Rosemary for him in Memoriam.
Our love and thoughts are with you all these thousands of miles away!

He will grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
age shall not weary him, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun,
and in the Morning.
We will remember him.

Whilst out yesterday I went to see if the Magnolia outside the school was in flower. Years ago someone planted this as a street tree outside the school. It has survived all these years (WWW II), and the attention of the sticky fingers of the children. It is massive and in a good year it is stunning. It has not disappointed anybody this year! It is truly awesome and these are the bottom branches.
Regards.
Neil.

You know Neil I was out looking at mine. The leaves are budding out but I never have had even flower b uds let alone actual flowers. I know that like it a little acidic and I have put coffee grounds in the soil and around the tree...................Can't think of what else besides moving it. Where is. is the only protected spot from the winter winds..........................

Nancy,
Then this is for you....taken in the late afternoon sun just now....the shadows turned bluish, it's so very beautiful.

Your drawing is lovely, and I am so sorry for the hurt you and your daughter have experienced this week. I just now read of it.

Every time we allow ourselves to love, we know we are also allowing ourselves to hurt, but we just keep right on loving, don't we?

It is such a lovely day here. The colors of spring just simply fill my heart.

Re tree Have you tried something like Miracid used with plants which need it?

We all miss our companion pets so much, but dwell on the companionship which you had & the fact that pup is no longer in pain.

Nancy, I am so sorry for your loss. I am an animal person, we have 5 dogs and 2 cats, and they are a huge part of our family. Hugs to you and your daughter and your family.

Sharon, your wisteria are absolutely incredible! I have one here that I bought last year and I'm growing it in a pot, so I am anxious to see if it survived the winter.

It is finally spring here! Tony and I were out today beginning the big cleanup. There is much to do as the snow was very damaging this year. But, we have new growth on many things, tulips getting ready to bloom, clematis starting to grow again, bleeding hearts and rhubarb with beautiful new baby leaves! Hydrangeas have new growth, periwinkle has a great start. And lots more! I was also gifted a really nice composter from a dear friend today... what a truly great day!

Brenda
