Thread OP

I bought a house with a very neglected overrun garden, but it has these guys growing in it.

I hope they're cheese pumpkins. Are they?

It's about a foot in diameter, and about 8 inches or so tall.

Not solved. Today I cut it open and it was white on the inside. So not a cheese pumpkin.

I roasted both halves and the insides shred sort of like spaghetti squash. But not quite as well. Shorter "noodles."

Flavor is mild but sweet. Now I have a ton of roasted shredded mystery gourd that I don't know what to do with!

Hope you saved the seeds. Share them with people and see what grows.
The mystery continues... Thumbs up

This type of plant cross-pollinates right?
Maybe a Long Island Cheese crossed with a Spaghetti Squash and you now have a Cheesy-Spaghetti Squash!

I do believe it is a valenciano pumpkin. Still don't know what to do with my 5 cups of sort-of spaghetti pumpkin flesh if anyone has any ideas!

Pie, soup, pudding.

Edit to add:
Dang!! Don't tell my kids but I forgot to say muffins. Pumpkin muffins with spice and maybe some walnuts, sunflower seeds or well, pumpkin seeds.
