I've grown a variegated form of it in the past. It was a little shyer about blooming than the non-variegated one, but probably as vigorous. It started going up one of my Magnolias and I decided that it needed to go. It's a handsome vine, and the flowers are charming. I never had fruit, but I'd seen it on some mature vines in the past. I've known it by the common name- Five Finger Vine. There's also a white-flowered form, if I remember correctly.
