Hmmm -- I think I'm going to try these in spite of your experience, Karen, using a recipe for "Zydeco Green Beans" that I made last year; I remember they had garlic and some hot pepper in the pickling solution, will have to find my recipe. Like you said, throwing away a couple of pints isn't that big of deal, and I have so many green cherry tomatoes... it just SOUNDS like such a good idea I can't resist !
