I've purchased a dwarf iris called Smart - I've been told it's not valid. This is what Dave's Garden says about it:

Iris 'Smart' is on the data base...........Just go to the data base. Type Iris Smart and there it will be. I just checked.

Also, just for what it is worth, every registered iris variety should already be listed in the ATP database. The only exceptions are the 2014 registrations. AIS won't officially release those until sometime next spring so ATP has most, but not all, of them. If you are having trouble finding an iris, it's more likely a result of a spelling issue or a quirk in the search engine than of the iris not being in the database.

DG is also a member created database and not always a complete accurate source (so no need to copy it here Green Grin! ) We relied on the American Iris Society for all the registration info which we now also have here on ATP.

Our iris database is accurate and complete unlike ALL other databases out on the web. Ditto with daylilies.
