Thank you Julia. It really is a beautiful semp. But I do have others that are exhibiting amazing water markings in the summer heat.
It is a new one for me from last fall planting.

Yes, you do. They are brutal to make, my son helped me with the last one. The blocks and soil are so heavy but so fun to add the plants.

I was so thankful for the guys from the River of Life House. I never could have put them together. The plant part was all me, and oh so much fun.

I would love to have more of them, but finances and energy to get them make are at a low.

Well, it's good to have limitations because we would add so many it would then become a burden rather then a pleasure. I have a hard time taking care of and admiring the ones I have.

OK, now I will ask the question that comes up everytime someone remarks on "watermarkings"

now I am wondering if it is based on 2.)how much moisture the semp gets and the variations thereof?

A lot depends of the specie/cultivar. Some never show water markings. Others are champions in the water mark department.
Water doesn't seem to determine the water marks, seems to depend on day length, and maybe temperatures.
This would be a great thing to documents.

i just love the semps with the watermarks! I went through the database did a search for watermarks. Oh WOW!

I think only a small amount of them in the database that attribute check marked. I'll have to go through and see if there are more I can do.

That would be nice. I like to look at those when making an order.
