Bought this as a flowering houseplant from a small grocery store. This is a 4" pot, flowering stems about 6" tall. Cute as all get-out, I'd love to know its name!

Wow, really pretty plant! Your photo doesn't enlarge when I click on it and my first thought was one of the variegated Plectranthus but it really does look like S. obermeyerae as purpleinopp stated. Check out these photos for comparison: http://1003gardens.blogspot.co...

Confusing though ... The Plant List shows both S. obermeyerae and H. obermeyerae as being accepted names. Is it the same plant or is the Plant List outdated?

I didn't fine either listing in the Catalogue of Life

We currently have no info or photos of Syncolostemon obermeyerae in the ATP database: Syncolostemon obermeyerae

I believe we have a winner! (dunno how I feel about owning a plant named 'candy kisses' but that's another topic...)

Thanks all.

I will get a better photo and upload to the database.

Cool! Do those pretty flowers have any scent?

No they don't, sad to say.

Edited to add - and the leaves aren't scented either.

The grocery store where I bought the first one had another on their hospital shelf for 99 cents, so yup, I got a second one. I will experiment with cuttings and make them available should the cuttings take.
