I just switched to a new iphone 5s from 4s. Now I can't upload photos. After I pick the photo I want it just gets stuck uploading.

Anyone know if there is some setting on the phone I have to monkey with to allow it to upload?

Or any other suggestion?

I hate change!

I had trouble uploading photos all day yesterday. I just figured there was something funky going on that would resolve itself.

I am not smart enough to own a SmartPhone but this link seems to think you need an app.

Thanks Greene. Good info, but I cannot imagine needed a special app to upload photos. I never had a problem before. And I can upload to flickr just fine This is very frustrating.

Is the problem persisting this morning?

Are the photos too big? As a test, could you try changing the settings on the camera to take smaller photos and see if those will upload? If even those fail, it would point to a different issue.

Sadly the problem persists. I was able to upload from my work computer. All the settings on my new phone are the same as my old phone, I thought.

How strange -- I was just going to add a post to say that for whatever reason I can download photos if I use Chrome but not if I use IE (which I am at the moment), then thought maybe I should try it to be sure... and had no problems at all! Confused Shrug!

And... I realize this has no relevance to trying to post using an Iphone - Whistling

I have searched everywhere for camera settings on the iphone and cannot find anywhere to change the size setting. Even so, I always could upload with my 4s iphone and it was the same size setting as this iphone.

Also, I was able to upload from my work desktop using Chrome. And those pictures are the same size that would come from my phone.

I wonder if it is a Safari problem? But then again I upload them to Flickr from Safari.....

It will be a big bummer if I can't fix this because this is my main camera and the way I upload mostly.

When you upload to flickr, is it the same process as here, with the only difference being that on ATP it just never completes? How long does it take to upload to flickr?

Are you ever getting an error at all?

And have you only tried posting photos to the forums, or also other places too, like the database?

Yes, with ATP is just never completes. The very first time I had a problem here I was trying to upload maybe four pics. I got some "thumbnail" code message in the box but nothing was there. Then after that I tried just to upload singles. I tried various pics in various forums. I have not tried the database yet. I'll give that a shot and report back.

With Flickr it too maybe just under a minute for one pic

@dave

On Saturday I tried several times to upload photos, both on my ipad and my laptop and it wouldn't work. Eventually i was able to upload one photo. I haven't tried today. But theses were not from my phone.

That's definitely curious. I will do some testing here. I wish I had an iphone to test with.
