Where would you get that many heads is what I wondered? I don't even remember why Smockette was in town,or how she found me now, but we didn't get to all the "gardens" on the tour. I think they do the tour every April, so if you're planning to be in town next April......

LOL billyporter!! And now you 'sucked' me into looking through them. Have I nothing better to do??? Sheese!

That is a blast from the past. Those have to be old hippies whose brains were burned from too many drugs.

The multicolored house was the clue. In the 70s we owned a duplex and rented to a young hippie. He painted inside and it was scary. Sounds like he has moved to Austin ~ weird ! Y'all can keep him... lol

I have been to Austin a few times, ans next time we go back, I will have to take a detour and see what I can find. Love the slogan, "keep Austin weird"!

Bubbles said: Here we go! We have to walk through this "arbor" of doll heads, light bulbs, and I don't know what else, to get to the garden.

@Bubbles
I'm busy going through these pictures and my thumb is getting tired and then I see that the tour was posted in 2010. How did I miss it all this time? I love yard art. And always wanted to at least have a bottle tree. Thanks so much for the head turning tour!
