I just added a photo to my profile and yesterday changed my password because, for some reason, I couldn't log on. Actually, I typed in the same password that I had always been using. I notice now that my sweet little acorn has disappeared. Wondering why !

The acorn image is just a placeholder if you don't have your own picture. Since you posted a photo of yourself the acorn image disappears and is replaced with your nice photo. Your nice smile and pretty lap dogs is much better than the boring default acorn. Smiling

OK -- I guess I'm willing to give up my accord -- you certainly know how to charm water out of a stone my friend !
Thanks

How does one give acorn tips for photos and forum comments?

Hi Beverly, and welcome! You can give some of your acorns by clicking on the acorn icon that's at the bottom of the post on the right hand side. When you do that it will ask how many acorns you want to give.

Thank You! Karen for the acorn information, it should have been obvious...i guess it is just too easy. Now i have one new question, and a comment:

I cannot for the life of me find out where to post a multi-plant photo...i am sure this is just as obvious as the acorn. :blushing:

My comment is that i would really like to see a Tropical Zone Region added to the list of forums. There are people in Tropical zones all over the world (like me) and we have no where to gather and talk to each other. For example, i am in southwestern Mexico (zone 11), there are other people in India's tropical zone, Hawaii's tropical zone, Florida, California etc. and we have a lot of gardening experiences in common. The member from India for example and I grow many of the same plants as do other people scattered around the globe and we need a place to share experiences and information. There are many people who grow tropical plants (for which there is a forum) that do not live or garden in tropical zones. I would suggest zones 9 and up as a general (but not exclusive) rule for a Tropical Zone Region. Now i am feeling a little bit homeless *Blush* I am enjoying so much ATP. I love the energy here and the people i have met so this is a suggestion and not in any way a complaint. Possibly this is not the correct place for my comment? If not, here then where? Thank You!

@Dave has added new forums in the past as interest in a given subject grew. Maybe it's something he'd consider if enough people were interested.

Also note that you can search for members by location from the memberlist link at the bottom of the page.

After looking a some of the posts in "Tropicals"...i guess this is where the people in Tropical Zones are posting so i will adopt that as "home", and be a tropical plant rather than a tropical region (although i would prefer to be a region)...this will work.

Oh, the link for posting multi-plant photos is over under "Goodies" in the blue bar on the left. Smiling

And the best place to request a new forum is over in the Site Talk forum. Or possibly in the Ask a Question area.
Confidence is that feeling you have right before you do something really stupid.

Beverly, there is a lot to see and find. Just make yourself at home and poke around. People here are friendly and will be happy to answer questions just about anywhere on the site. Enjoy!
