I have 23 of the current years award winners. I think everyone gets what they like (or keeps what they like if they were given stuff). I tried to limit myself by trying to collect certain groups. First and foremost, was my idea of collecting all of Sterling Innerst's introductions. I expanded that to include hybridizers Joan Roberts and J. Griffin (Griff) Crump.

I also decided to go after Dykes Medal winners. I did so because I started to get a bunch as my collection grew. I do not plan on getting them all though. Unlike a good number of you, I am not a huge fan of the Historics. I have some (and started out my Iris journey with just Historics), but I like the more modern DM. My goal now is to just have the ones from now back to about the mid 70s. Thus from "Kilt Lilt" to today.

So here is a list of what I need to fulfill that "dream".

Dividing Line - 2014
That's All Folks - 2013
Song of Norway - 1986
Ruffled Ballet - 1983
Mystique - 1980
Dream Lover - 1977
Kilt Lilt - 1976

I do have a bunch older than these, but I don't plan on getting them, but if I saw it and it was a trade, I would probably get it. Here is a list of the older ones I have.

San Francisco - 1927
Wabash - 1940
Ola Kala - 1948
Blue Rhythm - 1950
Pacific Panorama - 1965
Stepping Out - 1968
Debbie Rairdon - 1971

I should have enough Mistique next year to get you some of that one. That's All Folks I just got this year.

Dividing Line is a fantastic grower which is one reason for the award--it does well in so many areas. I don't happen to grow it as it isn't in my hybridizing line. However I don't have to as it does well in so many gardens in our area.
