Dear Nancy, at least you can tell a HOUSE from a Palace or a castle so that is a start!
Although Chatsworth is noted for its amazing art collection, stunning gardens and many other things, it is also held in esteem for its collection of 50 of the rarest antique clocks in the world! It can only be matched by Waddeson manor which has more and a few like the elephant clock is made from solid gold! It is a baby elephant with a clock inside it and everything moves, quite an amazing sight to behold. Chatsworth would blow anybody's mind if they saw it as it is just so stunningly beautiful it defies description. But it is only one of thousands over here, and I think Blenheim Palace can match it, amongst many others.
Cherie glad you got your answer and although beautiful you would not like to do the vacuuming in that place!
Neil.
