Just curious -- still new enough to ATP to have questions -- how and where do you shop with acorns? This possibility has got me thinking of ways I can collect more!

One way is to add pics to database. Also, get an article published. Sometimes excellent photos in threads, multi-plant pics, and banners are awarded acorns from other appreciative viewers.

But how do you "spend" acorns once you've gotten them at a place like Perennial Obsessions?

Faye - How nice that someone shared some acorns with you. Very generous of an ATP member!

I, personally, have no luck ever winning any kind of drawing on ATP (or anywhere else for that matter), though I do buy at least 1 ticket every auction in hopes.... But I have been very blessed by the generosity and kindness of others here on ATP!

There have been folks here who purchased 1 single ticket and won! And some folks have won several times! Good Luck to you!

I like to give acorns to folks who submit helpful replies in a forum thread, post a photo that is helpful to me in the database (or on a forum), or publish articles here on ATP. Those are some of the very easy ways you can earn acorns. You do not have to be a seasoned member to do any of these ideas to earn acorns.

MR, acorns are used to purchase badges, raffle tickets, and when they are available, ATP mugs and T-shirts.
I love my ATP coffee/tea mugs. The thread "Check out these coffee mugs" in Site Talk forum

You can't spend acorns anywhere but here on ATP. So you can spend them to purchase raffle tickets & if you win one of the prizes offered for the raffle, then you get a gift certificate for a company such as Perennial Obsessions or Flowers By The Sea or which ever prize you choose. The winners get to pick from the prizes offered but they have to pick in order. IOW 1st winner picks from all the prizes, then 2nd winner picks from the remaining prizes, then 3rd winner picks form what is left & so on & so forth.

Can't believe I just spent 20 of my acorns on badges just day before yesterday! Ugh! I only have enough left to buy one ticket now...sigh. I'll just have to keep my fingers crossed!

Thank You! I was puzzled at the reference to spending acorns at Perennial Obsessions and you put it in context. MR

Mugs are really hard for me because they require such care in shipping. But, well, maybe one day I'll do it again. Smiling

Hilarious!

I got most (11) of them when Dave was offering the ATP tee shirt/mug/shipping and had to have, I think, 250 acorns for each set. I got the 12th one as a prize on one of the raffles.
