I planted mine in morning sun with dappled shade rest of day. Dry, caliche soil. It's doing great! I only watered it once, when I planted it. It has been getting regular rainfall, which is unusual, but HAS had a dry spell or two while in the pot before I planted it. Which was several weeks before I posted here. Hopes are high.. It's still perky, and nice and 'red' - more of a burgundy.
