@sunkissed, when do you cut your red cordyline back? And do you cut it to the ground? Have you divided the new plants, ever? I'm falling in love and wish I had bought more than one.

I planted mine in morning sun with dappled shade rest of day. Dry, caliche soil. It's doing great! I only watered it once, when I planted it. It has been getting regular rainfall, which is unusual, but HAS had a dry spell or two while in the pot before I planted it. Which was several weeks before I posted here. Hopes are high.. Crossing Fingers! It's still perky, and nice and 'red' - more of a burgundy.

I cut it back in Spring once no more chance of frost, needs to be watered well. I've not separated any. Sounds like you have yours in a happy place, they do seem to prefer some sun but protection during the hottest part of the day.
