I am pretty sure that Fireflash was just introduced to the houseplant hobby like 10-15 years ago at most. I have only seen it for sale in a local store once (and I bought it when I did see it ). I have never seen it for sale in a big box store that I have been to.

One of the Lowes here had a ton of them, but not anymore. I should have picked one up years ago when I first saw it there.

The only local places I get houseplants is Lowes, Home Depot and a local nursery. My local Nursery also do live plant baskets and the left over plants they put out. I can get some really different plants from them. So I might have gotten my Fireflash from that nursery. It has been so long I really do not remember.

That is nice. We have two nurseries, but only one sells houseplants. They also do gift baskets, but they don't do as yours does.

Do you have a nearby Wal-Mart? I have found a few nice plants there. Our Home Depot isn't worth looking at for plants, they have the same selection no matter the time of year (which is dismal IMO).

It is funny I hear people on this forum saying they get a lot of plants at Walmart. The closest one to my house is about half hour and I never go in that direction. I have gone there and it does not have any plants. It is small and one of the first Walmart in the area. The big one is about an hour away.

Oh okay. Well, there are four in our area (they're building a fifth one!?). Only two really sells houseplants. The third one was "the place to go" last year, but this year, they didn't even have outdoor plants.

Now that I say that, one of the two I normally go to didn't have as many houseplants this year. I wonder what's going on...
