Fiskars long handled lopping shears have been recalled as the handles can snap/break during use causing injury to the user.
My plant friend in Oregon just sent me this from the news:

https://www.cpsc.gov/en/Recall...

I can't figure out how to copy/paste the notice but the basics are Fiskars 32" Titanium Bypass Lopper, Model # 6954 has been voluntarily recalled. No other Titanium loppers and/or models are affected by this recall.

Consumers are to call a toll-free number or visit www2.Fiskars.com, click on the Product Notifications link under Customer Service give your details and arrange to return the Loppers to receive free replacement.

Though I don't have that exact model, I do appreciate the notice. I love Fiskars tools. Many are lighter and more "old lady friendly" (ideal for me) than big, heavy "man" tools I can no longer use. Thank you!

I ran out to check mine, but they're just about the only cutters I have that aren't Fiskars. Rats...I was hoping they were. Hilarious!
Trimming a tree the other day and not only did my handles slip out of their connection sleeves, but I could easily tell by their bending under pressure that the handles are plastic. Sticking tongue out
